Home - About tackle it

‘tackle it’ was started in October 2007 by two students Francesca Gamble and Tallulah Hall who study Fashion Marketing at Nottingham Trent University.

The aim is to spear point a campaign in conjunction with the charity Orchid, the first U.K charity to focus on Male Cancer.

The main thrust of the ‘tackle it’ campaign will run during April 2008 culminating with the Bat and Ball Brigade fashion show to be held at the Sturgess Jaguar showroom in Leicester on Thursday the 8th May.

There has been a huge amount of awareness on breast cancer in recent years and for this reason Francesca and Tallulah have decided to concentrate on male cancer, and specifically testicular cancer. This cancer is most common in their own age group of 18-30 year olds. The ‘tackle it’ campaign is aiming at making these young men become more aware on how to check themselves and aware on how to seek help if necessary.

Daniel Hipkiss the England International rugby player and member of the 2007 World Cup team has kindly consented to being patron of the ‘tackle it’ campaign.
